The Pouts formed in December of 1983.  

Aaron already had tons of experience from past bands:  The Jiggs, and The Crazies.

Molly had previous piano experience, but was into the new synth-pop sound.

Ricki bought a guitar and hoped for the best.

Later, Mickey also from The Jiggs, was added on Bass and Karen on drums.  Karen had been in a few bands in her home town of Boston prior to moving to Ohio.
